I have been wearing glasses or contacts since age 13. Up until age 25 I wore contacts with no problems, but then things started to change. I could only wear my contacts for a couple hours before they started to bother me. Being an optometrist I tried everything from specialty contacts to punctal plugs, but nothing seemed to relieve my symptoms.

I knew LASIK was safe, but never had the confidence to proceed. After meeting Dr. Granberry, that all changed. I finally had the confidence that I wouldn’t be one of the few that have problems after surgery. I had LASIK in March 2004 and I am seeing 20/20 without glasses for the first time in years. The staff here is extremely professional and very caring. From the very first consultation right through the surgery each staff member made me feel very comfortable. On the day of the surgery I was a little nervous but that soon went away. The massage before the surgery was very helpful.

Wonderful experience! Everyone is very friendly and professional. The doctor took time with me and answered all my questions. All aspects of the procedure were explained in detail. No pain during the surgery. The evening right after the surgery the vision got better by the hour.

1 week later: Eyes are good. Still run out the door looking for my glasses. Conditioned! Thought my eyes were blurry. Wrong! Windshield was dirty!

My whole experience with the LASIK procedure was just amazing! The whole staff was very generous and had very good patience. My eyes were giving me trouble for the computerized photos but the nurses were so nice. I was very thankful to them.

This was the scariest thing I've every forced myself to do. I'm squeemish about contact lenses touching my eyes, let alone a laser! Briefly thought about not going through with it on the way there. However, I did it. It was fast and painless and now I can throw away my glasses.
